A Case of Mistaken Identity

high-definition-folk-artFolk Art High Definition is a new paint line from Plaid Enterprises that is a case of mistaken identity which could  give Sherlock Holmes a bad rash According to artist Tracy Moreau the quality of  this dimensional acrylic paint is equivalent to elite fine art  materials with respect to consitency and pigment load.

High Definition is a mid to heavy body paint  that does not correspond to craft market expectations.” HD  blends like an oil and you can create some really upscale pieces especially with mixing the clear medium” ,according to Tracy. Quebec artist Guylaine Castonguay has also painted some comemporary decorative art pieces that have challenged her students. The phrase ”arty-decorative” is something of a grey area for the American craft companies and they will have to venture outside their comfort zone to revitalize  a CHA  industry that is treading  water at present.
