Le Blender or Le Blunder? The Beat Goes On
We are having a new paint brush made for us to be called the ”Le Blender” series which has been inspired by beat poet,businessman and artist Lawrence Ferlinghetti. His spirit of renewal and resistance which finds both visual expression in his paintings and through the spoken word is exactly what a paint brush needs to define itself today. An art movement based on visual insurgency where politics can actually have a valid reason to exist is precisely the place for us to position ”Le Blender”
Ferlinghetti took up painting in France after the war and it remains a life long pursuit with him.The colours are warm and the use of text on the canvas lends a certain signature to the work.
