“The time has come”, the walrus said, “to talk of many things
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax
Of cabbages and kings
AND WHY THE SEA IS BOILING HOT
and whether pigs have wings”
Lewis Carroll – Through the Looking Glass
Its like Alice finding the Dead Sea Scrolls in the role of the Accidental Tourist while looking for the Holy Grail. At her engagement party Alice escapes her importuning suitor to follow a white rabbit and soon finds herself falling down just a hole. The white rabbit, with a tremendous lead on the Tortoise, had plenty of time to kill, so a side trip into the upper rings, and the upper crust of Dante’s inferno, ruling class section, was a must-see. The hare, as a symbol, is a bit of a mixed bag, with a fair amount of baggage, being associated with the Pagan, Wiccan and the occult, transformation, receiving esoteric knowledge and captor of intuitive messages. In Paganism, the rabbit is intertwined with the goddess Ostara, a celebration, like Woodstock, of a new golden dawn that corresponds to the Spring Equinox. There are also parallels with the Aesop fable, of the tortoise and the hare, with the hare being a symbol of the selfish, ego-centric and the lazy.
”Rabbit, like Coyote, Raven and Crow, is considered trickster by some Native American tribes. For the Nanabozho or Manabozho, Great Hare, is a powerful figure found in some stories. Nanabozho is a hero, creator of the earth, supporter of humans, bringer of fire and light, and teacher of the sacred rituals. In others he’s a clown, a thief, or a sly predator, an amoral animal dancing on the boundary between the positive and negative. To some tribes he’s known as Fear Caller because he brings whatever he fears most to himself. He’ll see Coyote and will tell him to stay away because he’s afraid of him. When Coyote doesn’t hear, Rabbit calls louder and louder until coyote notices, then preys on him.”
The scene that immediately takes place after she lands, the glass table, the hall of locked doors, the ”Drink Me” bottle and ”Eat Me” cake shows this tranformative effect; expansiveness, at the expense of intuition and balance leading to an unlocking of the door into Wonderland proper, which bears the name ”Underland” , which is tenebrous in nature; an alternative reality which highlights the danger of retreating completely from a sh
”The first chapter reveals the sacramental factor pictured by the bottle of liquid or the element of wine with description of its flavor and the little cake or the element of bread. The drink-me and eat-me of the labels represent the idea of compulsion in cosmic process or the first law of abstract being as persistency in being. The drinking, or wine as blood or consciousness or spirit, is the compulsion of spirit’s descent into matter dramatized in growing smaller and smaller whereas the eating or metabolism through which matter is forced to be ensouled progressively by higher and higher forms of life is the compulsion of matter’s ascent into full participation in spirit as dramatized by growing higher and higher. These details are too perfect for a cry of coincidence and continue to bear weight forever…” ( Marc Edmund Jones )
In ”This Is No Wonderland”, by Dana Stevens, she claims Tim Burton got Lewis Carroll’s book entirely wrong. On reflection, this might be a welcome distraction since Lewis writes anything but straight forward young-adult fantasy fiction. Her lamentation that Alice is an ”imminently sensible British schoolchild” , seems sentimental, and facile, since Lewis’ clever and inticate logic puzzles and plays on the literal and figurative meaning of words conducts the reader on a voyage that pits the dream world against reality and the many symbols and metaphors held meanings far greater than the whimsical and nonsensical, eccentric gloss would indicate.
”Of principal importance is the fact that they were written by a mathematician. Mathematics is a divine science not because of its abstractions but because of what its study does to the consciousness. An untutored individual turning to nonsense produces non-sense. Even Lewis Carroll himself when building on a conscious working at nonsense produced the relatively infantile Hunting of the Snark. But the so-called nonsense allowed to emanate spontaneously from a brain that has grooved itself in accordance with cosmic ritual almost infallibly will bring forth something of cosmic significance. This alone carried to its logical conclusion is the explanation of all inspiration whether through alcohol or more constructive agency. It is not coincidence that the wholly explicable working of the cosmic ritual creates such wonderland as this present study. There are occult factors such as the circumstance that Lewis Carroll wrote the book and not some other mathematician, but the explanation rather than being different is simply more detailed. Here for instance is the item of occult catalysis or coincidence of inspiration in the fact that the eldest Liddell child is named Alice, a Greek word meaning truth, because the bearing of the name by the youngster indicates to the occult student the outer indication of her possession of these catalytic qualities.
There has also been discussion about the long history of Disney, Alice in Wonderland and children’s programming. Some even consider Walt Disney as the White Rabbit, who leads Alice down the rabbit hole into Wonderland; a metaphor and programming device for ‘leading’ children down into dissociation, tumbling into a trance, through abuse. The white rabbit represents the abuser/’master’/programmer that must be followed at all times. The introduction to Disney’s 1951 Alice in Wonderland pretty much announces that Walter is the White Rabbit . It is worth noting the White Rabbit in the film appears for the first time as a reflection in the pond Alice is playing by, right when ripples,a metaphor often used for trauma; i.e. in the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies’ logo, are made.
The occult symbolism is hardly accidental. Lewis Carroll was an original member of the Society for Psychical Research. The original objective of the S.P.R. was to conduct research into “that large group of debatable phenomena designated by such terms as mesmeric, psychical and spiritualistic.” Committees were organized to examine telepathy, hypnotism, mesmeric trance, clairvoyance, ESP, apparitions, haunted houses, and to determine the laws of physical spiritualistic phenomena. The base texts included the required Egyptian Book of the Dead. The S.P.R later morphed into the Fabian Society and then further institutionalized as the London School of Economics and Political Science.Itsoriginal members were the heavy hitters of London including William Gladstone and Arthur Balfour.
”Themes of dissociation are clearly present; remember Alice in Wonderland is about a little girl’s dissociation from sexual abuse [("Lewis Carroll" was a pedophile, the fact that Walt would choose the name and themes of 'Alice' as his first work should tell you a lot about Disney) as a survival mechanism the mind of an abused child "splits off" from conscious reality, i.e. tumbling down the rabbit hole out of this reality (she follows/is led by the White Rabbit [abuser/programmer] into it) into Wonderland [in Through Looking Glass, going through the looking glass/mirror becomes the metaphor/mechanism of dissociation, more on this below], the cyclone taking Dorothy over the rainbow into Oz, and all the many variants in countless works of fiction (all of which can be used in programming)].”
”Alice’s MK/abuse probably started with her Oxford University Vice-Chancellor father Henry Liddell, who was also the Dean of Christ Church (Carroll met the family as Henry had just become the Dean of Christ Church) and he probably allowed her to be used by people like the aforementioned Reverend Robinson Duckworth (was a chaplain/member of the Order of St. John, with it’s Maltese style cross always used by the powers that be, also a member of ‘elite’ Gentlemens clubs like the Athenaeum Club) who rowed the boat [this nursery ryhmne was probably sung in their "entertaining" of the girls: "Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily life is but a dream." (more dissociation ((don't worry about the abuse, just keep rowing (((keep following the white rabbit, keep following the yellow brick road etc etc)))... it's all just a dream anyway, in MK this is partly how dissociation is used; dreams, fantasy and reality are confused)), nursery ryhmnes/fairy tales are all full of it)]. Showing some more of Robinson’s ‘elite’/monarch connections, he served as Instructor and Governor to Prince Leopold (leopard; suffered from hemophilia [as most of the ibred royal scum did] and “mild epilepsy”), who more than likely used the Liddell sisters (again showing how these slaves are often used by ‘elite’/royalty; Daisy Greville was another one [who then became King Edward VII's mistress, and was used by various "powerful men"]), Alice named one of her son’s after the Prince and he was also the child’s godfather (both her son’s died in the mass ritual blood-sacrifice at WW1), Robinson became King Edward’s Ordinary-in-Chaplain, then Queen Victoria’s …you’ll notice Monarch, Queen Victoria’s painting featuring prominently in the Through The Looking Glass video …. Like the occultist author of The Wizard of Oz Frank Braum, Lewis Carroll was also a member of/or at least influenced by the Theosophical Society.”
Aleister Crowley identified Lewis Carroll as a holy man of the occult art whose famous children’s stories Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass held profound magical secrets. Crowley made Carroll’s books required reading in his school for magicians, claiming these works were valuable to those who understand the Qabalah.Through the Looking Glass therefore would refer to the occult practice of skrying or staring into a mirror or crystal to achieve a “wonderland” trance state required for certain visions or “remote viewing.”
”Marilyn Manson, he of the talismanic initials, was in London on December 6th, performing tracks from his Lewis Carroll-inspired new album ‘EAT ME DRINK ME.’ Allusions to the Wonderland mythos peppered the set, which included the anthem, Are You the Rabbit?‘- written, presumably, for his (postponed) film project:Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll. About three days later, another MM, Matthew Murray, killed four people in two separate shootings in Denver, Colorado (home of the New World airport.) The principal target of Murray’s rage- the Christian organisation, Youth With A Mission- had fallen out with him five years ago, following a fundraising concert in which Murray had elected to perform songs by Linkin Park… and Marilyn Manson. He was asked to leave the missionary training programme shortly afterwards.”
It is unfathomable to think that Lewis Carroll consciously created works that would later play a central role in the abusive psychological programming of unwitting individuals. Instead, the author’s knowledge of the occult allowed him to incorporate esoteric concepts, archtypes, and symbols that are generally hidden from most, yet are prevalent in the universal psyche. The fact that these works can be used for nefarious purposes should not indict Carroll, or his great literary contributions to humanity. However, the story continues to fascinate due to multiple complex elements and its links into what later would be called child psychology. The writing of Carroll is filled with self-sustaining Kafkaesque insanity, asymmetrical logic, and identity switches covered with a rich tapestry of symbols which form a giant riddle that is challenging to comprehend.
