Iris brushes from Pebeo are tangibly better than many known brands yet are completely under the radar in terms of name recognition in North America.They have excellent spring,nice sharp points and seem to be more versatile and durable than the reknown ” La Corneille” line under the Loew-Cornell brand.
Part of the issue is a denomination of the sizes in metric meaning decorative painters cannot associate many of the shapes with what they have a reference point to and the description on the handles is in a French a la Francaise which is somewhat ambiguous.
The pricing is at the higher end but is still better than fair value for the quality received. The rounds and daggers are excellent for glass painting.
When it comes to art supplies, higher end usually relates to better quality and life time.
Cameras are often the same, as far as quality and life expectancy.
