George Barr is a master of illustration mainly in the realm of science fiction and fantasy. His original technique involved using ballpoint pen and often multiple colors of ballpoint to create ”inklings” to achieve a mixing of tone. Since the mid-70’s Barr has drawn in single color ballpoint with overlays of watercolor paint to achieve the desired tints.
