bitchin’ booties

The advertising world and a look back. The context of our identity’s is always changing…. or is it?

Art Chantry ( art@artchantry.com):

this is another gen-yoo-whine advert from the 1970’s. there was something terribly wrong about the way we all thought about things back then. i dunno. it must have been all that cheap coke. maybe it was quaaludes (remember those?) or the bathtub crisscross. but the result was, among the advertising elite of the day, a run of advertising concept work without any frat boy snark (like today), but with so much just plain trippy weirdness, that it makes all those great heckler-produced rainier beer ads look not all that special, yanowutimeen, vern?

AC:we just don't do fun advertising any more. sigh. click image for more....

dingos were bitchin’ booties, tho’…..
