this is the only issue i’ve ever found of this magazine. i wish i could find more. this issue is a sort of overview/underview of the entire underground movie culture from the period. i don’t know if all issues are this cool, but this one rocks. it’s even designed by THE george maciunas (the main man behind the FLUXUS group.) as you flip through it, it’s like the coolest underground magazine i’ve ever seen this side of Aspen. it’s like the ultimate warhol magazine – only without warhol.
beyond my reaction, there’s not much more i can say. this thing is perfect.

AC:’m reading a bio of maciunas right now,”mr. fluxus.” interesting fella….name the superstars? l to r: baby jane holzer, edie sedgwick, ingrid superstar, ultra violet, nico….Q:a super oversized magazine called Manipulator? it was printed on newsprint but was 3×4 feet!…used to have the first issue laying around here. dunno if that copy is still around the studio anymore. i may have even been interviewed for it once. i can’t remember.
