i went to an optometrist many years ago who had a poster of this image hanging framed in his examination room. i got all excited and started talking about duchamp. he had no idea what i was talking about. in fact, he had no idea who that was in the photo. he just thought it looked “cool.” it made me doubt his optometry skills. goddam cool people are everywhere. behold the POWER of of duchamp!
