no no songs

Bond author Ian Fleming’s antihero Goldfinger once said “Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.” At least according to Fleming, the author of James Bond. How would Goldfinger deal with Obama? The man who looks ready to win the electoral college and the presidency yet lose the popular vote. This would be the second time in the last four elections going back to the Bush/Gore campaigns and a disquieting focus  again on the art of gaming the system; on how candidates neglect most of the nation by developing micro-campaigns in the the so-called swing states….

—But what is new is largely a matter of emphasis and detail. For instance, while Mr. Obama candidly acknowledged indulging in pot and booze and “maybe a little blow” in his memoir, this biography underscores just what an enthusiastic marijuana smoker he was as a teenager. According to Mr. Maraniss he belonged to a group of boys at the elite Punahou School in Honolulu who called themselves the Choom Gang (“Choom is a verb,” the author writes, “meaning ‘to smoke marijuana’ ”) and thanked his pot dealer in his high school yearbook.
The most revealing chapter (excerpted in Vanity Fair magazine) draws upon the insightful journals of a former girlfriend named Genevieve Cook, daughter of a prominent Australian diplomat, who was teaching at a New York private school in the early 1980s. Ms. Cook was a kind of kindred spirit who shared Mr. Obama’s sense of dislocation and passion for intellectual inquiry, but she wrote frequently in her journals about “the veil” hanging between Mr. Obama and the outside world. —Read More:http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/05/books/barack-obama-the-story-by-david-maraniss.html?pagewanted=all image:http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2723512/posts

Winning reelection without winning a plurality of votes appears to be a contributing factor in the polarization of the country, which, going back to Bush and 9-11 has not really left us,the stink is still in the air of what some have called a “cold civil war” that is only going to get worse, no matter who gets elected;  epithets of “worst president ever” will be forthcoming with the standard chase after scapegoats since income inequality will likely worsen and technological innovations such as IBM’s Watson are applied to a multitude of white collar jobs, and disruptive technologies like driverless cars are implemented etc.

ADDENDUM:

And while all kinds of la-di-da campaigning are taking place in key electoral college states, the usual meddling and expensive interventionism goes unabated abroad…

(see link at end) …The Obama vs Netanyahu political bloodbath has a sharp historical edge. When the conservative Israeli Prime Minister won the election during the Clinton Administration, Clinton used his political hit men to force him out of office. One of those hit men was Stanley Greenberg.

Stanley Greenberg helped push Israel’s earlier version of Occupy Wall Street. Now with elections coming up, Greenberg is back in Israel to try and topple Netanyahu one more time.

While Netanyahu’s reelection prospects are looking far better than Obama’s, a major factor in Obama’s Middle East policy is getting rid of Netanyahu.

The Labor party has hired Stanley Greenberg, a leading Democratic political strategist, to direct its campaign in the upcoming elections for Knesset.

Greenberg, along with partners James Carville and Robert Shrum, helped Labor under Ehud Barak defeat Netanyahu in the 1999 elections. Previously, then-President Bill Clinton was reportedly active in creating rifts within Netanyahu’s coalition, hastening its downfall.

Th

ttern of action may be repeating itself, as Greenberg appears to have played a key role in destabilizing Netanyahu’s present government as well. According to an investigative report by Maariv’s Kalman Libeskind, it was Greenberg who gave directions to an Israeli strategy forum in 2011, on how to engineer the “social protests” that brought hundreds of thousands of Israelis to the streets that summer.

The protests failed to push out Netanyahu, but Greenberg’s strategy was to put pressure on Netanyahu and tear apart his coalition….

…The protests – which received free wall-to-wall promotion and coverage from liberal media, and drew crowds by offering free music from top artists – forced the Netanyahu government to abandon its economic principles in favor of “social” legislation, like subsidized preschool education. …Read More:http://frontpagemag.com/2012/dgreenfield/clintons-political-hit-man-in-israel-to-take-down-netanyahu/

And lets not forget the glass jar with the very muddy bottom that is Libya…

(see link at end)…GA: Why do you think that media, for the most part, is ignoring something this huge?

CL: It’s a good question isn’t it? That’s a really good question. Political? I have no idea. It boggles the mind, I don’t know.

GA: Do you believe that this was a cover up from the very beginning?

CL: Oh yes, the gun running of course, that was the thing.

GA: That was my next question; do you believe that this administration is smuggling weapons to Al-Qaeda?

CL: Well, not… I mean… The short answer is yes. They were working with the very same Al-Qaeda linked relationships in Libya to gather up and buy back and collect weapons from Gaddafi’s stock pile that were missing from the revolution in Libya last year and what it looks like is that they were shipping them onwards to Syria.

GA: Some of those weapons have already shown up in the Sinai on the southern border of Israel.

CL: Yes, they’ve gone to the Sinai and they’ve also gone to Mali and to other places in western Africa and they’ve also gone to Syria. That was the operation, that’s what they were doing.

GA: If the truth of all this ever does come out, what do you think should happen to all those involved? And when I say involved that includes President Obama.

CL: A complete investigation. Congressional hearings and an investigation.

GA: With what we know, as far as sitting there and watching four Americans, including an ambassador die, does that not fall under the grounds of treason?

CL: Well, that’s what an investigation would be needed to look at. There are a number of Congressmen now who are talking about calling for hearings. Read More:http://blogs.jpost.com/content/benghazi-october-surprise
